Paris 12 Hours 1950 – Signed Ferrari 166 MM Image (Jean Lucas & André Pilette)

This rare image from the 1950 Paris 12 Hours captures the spirit of Ferrari’s earliest endurance racing era. The image, carefully cut from a book, features two notable drivers from the event and is personally signed by both in later life.

Jean Lucas, won the race driving the Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta chassis #0052M, shared the car with Le Mans winner and entrant Luigi Chinetti—one of Ferrari’s most influential early figures. Alongside this, André Pilette, another respected name in post-war motorsport, also competed in the event, sharing a Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta chassis #0014M with entrant Herman Roosdorp finished third.

Both Lucas and Pilette’s autographs have been added in blue biro, each obtained during the drivers’ later years. Signed material connected to Ferrari’s formative racing years—especially relating to the iconic 166 MM—is becoming increasingly scarce, making this a rare opportunity for collectors.

A unique combination of early Ferrari history, endurance racing heritage, and genuine driver signatures at an affordable price.
