This rare Valentine postcard features Mike Hawthorn driving the BRM P25 at the 1956 Glover Trophy at Goodwood. Mike has signed to the top right in fountain pen.
Provenance: Obtained by the original owners Father, after he spotted Mike Hawthorn entering the Royal Spithead Hotel, Bembridge, Isle of Wight, around 1956/57. He ran home to get the postcard and waited outside for a few hours. Mike Hawthorn eventually emerged, and rather grudgingly signed it for him.
