An original pair of Alpinestars karting gloves dating from 2011, individually hand signed by the seven-time Formula One World Champion.
Both gloves have been signed by Schumacher across the outer cuff area, creating an outstanding display piece with the two autographs presented side by side.
Of particular interest is the signature on the right-hand glove, where Michael has added a small smiley face beneath his autograph. This was a distinctive feature he occasionally incorporated when signing more personally for friends and acquaintances, particularly during the period following his initial retirement from Ferrari.
Dating from 2011, the gloves originate from Schumacher’s second Formula One career with Mercedes, during which he continued to spend considerable time karting away from Grand Prix weekends. Karting had remained an important part of Schumacher’s life throughout his career, both as a training tool and as a discipline he genuinely enjoyed long after establishing himself as one of Formula One’s greatest drivers.
The gloves display natural wear consistent with their age and use, adding to their authenticity and appeal as original personal equipment rather than modern replica memorabilia.
