An original programme from the International Gold Cup meeting held at Oulton Park on 18 September 1965, signed inside by Formula One World Champions Denis “Denny” Hulme and Jackie Stewart.
Both drivers have added their signatures in blue ink to the programme’s illustrated feature presenting the leading competitors entered for the Gold Cup race. Hulme would become Formula One World Champion in 1967, while Stewart went on to secure three World Drivers’ Championship titles in 1969, 1971 and 1973.
The programme represents an evocative piece from a significant era of British motor racing, featuring a remarkable entry that also included Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham and John Surtees. Signed period programmes featuring two future Formula One World Champions are increasingly difficult to acquire, making this an excellent addition to an important motorsport autograph collection.
The programme displays age-related handling wear, creasing and toning consistent with its age and original race-day use.
