A superb signed hand printed photograph of 1980 Formula One World Champion Alan Jones driving the Williams FW07 chassis 15 at the 1981 Monaco Grand Prix. Held on 31 May 1981 through the streets of Monte Carlo, the race became one of the defining contests of the season, with Jones charging from seventh on the grid to finish second behind Gilles Villeneuve’s Ferrari.
Jones delivered a determined performance in the Cosworth-powered Williams, also setting the fastest lap of the race with a 1:27.470, underlining the pace of the FW07C around Monaco’s narrow, unforgiving circuit. The photograph captures Jones at the wheel of one of Williams’ most important ground-effect Formula One cars, during the team’s successful 1981 Constructors’ Championship-winning campaign.
A highly collectable piece of Formula One memorabilia, this Alan Jones signed Monaco 1981 photograph celebrates a classic Grand Prix, an iconic Williams chassis, and one of Australia’s great World Champions.
