Every object we offer is examined before it is accepted for sale: the item, its history and the available period evidence are considered together.
For signatures: ink, pressure, rhythm, letter formation, surface and period variation. For equipment: materials, manufacture, construction, livery, repairs and genuine use.
We test the story against dates, races, teams, people and the object itself. Provenance can strengthen an item, but it never excuses failed physical examination.
No. We compare period photographs where useful, but only claim a definitive match when distinctive evidence supports it. A genuine item can exist without a conclusive photograph.
Restoration, damage, missing elements, uncertain attribution and limits in provenance are disclosed. Our role is to give the most accurate account, not the most exciting story.
Authentication is a sequence of connected checks — not a logo, sticker or single comparison found online.
Fibre, weave, resin and lay-up changed considerably across Formula One history. A component built in 1991 does not look, under examination, like one built today. That is what makes a reproduction detectable. Our founder, Alex, spent fifteen years in Formula One composites, so components are assessed against the construction methods of their period, not simply how convincing they look.
